About developing video chat using WebRTC
« on: May 24, 2017, 06:38:40 PM »
Hello, everyone.
I am currently developing VR application using your Coherent GT trial version.

But now,
Can not permit microphone and camera.
Do not load getUserMedia.
The judgment of UserAgent is strange.
Localization to Japanese can not be done.
There are problems such as mountains, it is stalled in development.

If possible, will you teach tutorials and explanations?

´╝ťCurrent development environment´╝×
Windows10Pro
Cooherent_1_9_0_9_Trial.unitypackage
Unity ver5.4.5f1

I wonder if you can help me.

Hi Atsunori Sagawa,

Coherent GT is streamlined for maximum game performance and that's why it does not support browser features like WebRTC or WebGL. Could you describe in more detail what you are trying to achieve via WebRTC?

Hello Teddy,,

Thank you for reply.

Apparently it seems I was misunderstood.
I thought that the function of the Coherent UI was handed over to Coherent GT.

I wanted to realize the video chat function in the game using WebRTC like this video.

But if you check well, this movie seems to have been made with Coherent UI.
If you can implement it in the same way with Coherent GT, please tell me.

Hi Atsunori Sagawa,

As we mentioned, Coherent GT does not support WebRTC. However, you can implement the chat and live streaming functionality in Unity or use a plugin like this one - https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/7447.

Then you may use our live views to display the video feed. For more information on the live views, you may take a look at our documentation at http://coherent-labs.com/Documentation/unity-gt/d9/d4d/_live_views.html.

Kind regards,

Hello John,,

Thank you for reply.

Thank you for introducing the asset
Compared to this asset exactly
http://Https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/68030

I was just thinking about where to implement it.

As for the video feed,
once you have implemented the video chat function,
let me review it again

If you have another opportunity, I will use it by all means.

Thank you for taking care of politely many times.

Regards,
